Canon Pixma ip1600 printer to my Mac Pro with Yosemite 10.10.4 with no success.

I am trying to connect a Canon Pixma ip1600 printer to my Macbook Pro, Yosemite 10.10.4. The message from Apple says that it is not compatible and Canon says no drivers are available. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

You are correct. There are no v10 Yosemite compatible drivers available here.

MIght be time for a new printer.
