Q: file recovery after partition deletion

Hi all, again, i've seen all this come up in the past, but i had to install some repair drivers as my mac functions were not working properly after the windows 10 update. it also meant i was unable to use my macbook's trackpad too! I accidentally selected the option on bootcamp assistant to delete an existing partition and have now literally lost all my college work and everything. Is there anything at all i can do to recover files?

ok so when i tried recover on the microsoft basic data, it came up with no data found, should i try recover on the hitachi drive instead?

yeah, plus a lot have different file names etc, is it possible to recover the folders they were in at the time?

You should try and recover the data to a separate external disk, preferable one that has no other information on it.

well, none of it is in the folders which i had all setup, i'd only buy and recover it if it was all organised but i don't see it happening like that which isn't great

That is a very hard question to answer. . You can try it, but my suggestion is to first cross check with this a second tool, before you invest any money.

haha yeah, to be honest, the data itself i can get again however just the folders and sorting i have done the last 5 years is ironically more important how do you suggest i cross check then?
