facetime, I recieved a call from someone on facetime who hasn't got my number, is this possible?

I recieved a call yesterday from someone who is in my facebook friends group. The do not have my number, and I was wondering if it is possible to call me without knowing my number through facetime. They hung up before I could answer the phone BTW.

Here's the skinny on FaceTime Use FaceTime with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

In short, If your phone number is on your Facebook account, then they could have gotten it from there. Facebook can sync with Contacts, and (if your privacy settings allow) they can see your phone number.

Alternatively, if:

- you're signed in to FaceTime (see in settings > Facetime)

AND

- your email used with Facebook is also used as one of the emails in FaceTime settings

THEN

they can call you on FaceTime with your email instead of phone number

you can change these settings in settings > FaceTime.

Hope this helps, mate!
