BootCamp Upgrading from 8.1 to 10

HI

I have a new macbook pro 15 inch.

I have windows 8.1 installed using bootcamp.

The small windows 10 update icon at the bottom of the windows screen has told me I am good to go for updating my 8.1 to windows 10.

My question is...

If I click ok to this and install, will it update my windows 8.1 to 10 using the partitioned bootcamp or will it try to us the complete hard drive the over drive my Mac partitioned side?

I take it that it will this use the drivers I have installed in 8.1 bootcamp.

I have been searching the internet but can not find info on updating what I already have.

Do I wipe the lot and reinstall or can I just update?

Thanks

TJ

it will be self-contained only the bootcamp windows part will even knows the upgrade take place

there are currently no bootcamp driver support for windows 10 so you will have to take your chances with the old bootcamp 8.1 drivers which you will likely have to reinstall manually all features may not work as they did before

last time win8.1 was released in oct and official bootcamp drivers was released in feb
