Q: My iTunes address is wrong so I can't update apps, how do I change it?

when I try to update apps I get asked for a password and an old email address comes up - how do I change the email? My Apple ID is fine, but I can't change the email address that comes up on iTunes (or find it in settings)

thank you!

Settings > iTunes and App Store.  Tap on the Apple ID, Sign Out, and sign in with the correct ID (the one used to purchase the app).

I have this problem.  I have tried this solution.  It does not work as my sign-in e-mail address in Settings > iTunes and App Store and online at My Apple ID are correct.  Resetting it again, does not work.  When trying to update my apps, the old e-mail address keeps coming up and blocking updates to things like Keynote and iMovie.  Other updates were allowed.   Where is the root address association made and how can it be fixed?  The old address that is causing problems was never my address.  It was 'remotely' associated with my phone when the Verizon salesman helped setup my husband's new iPhone last year.  My iPhone was not in his possession.  How could this happen?  Thank you.
