Q: Please help a moron-How to access my documents in iCloud...

Basically since I have owned my iPhone(s), creating an "icloud" account on my first iPhone. I have never been able to access documents, photos, music… I am a fairly intelligent person... And I have no idea how to access the cloud and any of my information! Please help..

Also my laptop broke, so I have no way to do anything with This phone!! I got a new iPhone 6 – I cannot transfer any of my music from my iPhone 4S  to new iPhone…trying to add actual keyboard...only opens with a ".exe" file, so it won't it won't run the set-up!

Thanks...

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

    Hey Twinb2,

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to use iCloud on the iPhone and move content from one iPhone to another. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

    iCloud: Set up iCloud

    • Set up iCloud on a device:

Follow the instructions on the Set up iCloud website. When setting up iCloud, you sign in using your Apple ID. If you don’t have one, you can create one while signing in on an iOS device or a Mac.

Be sure to use the same Apple ID for iCloud on your devices and on iCloud.com.

Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device - Apple Support

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a good one

I have already set up iCloud on my new device, and every time I go to iCloud.com to try to access my information it just prompts me to set up my device with the cloud… I had already followed the steps to a T and it is up and running just fine on my phone, but when I go to iCloud.com to access my information.. I keep getting the same screen asking me to set up a new account on my new phone...bottom line it is definitely set up correctly, the one thing I can  access in the iCloud app is system services, which tells me everything is up and running just fine – but that's as far as it will let me go ...??? I.E.  Can't access iCloud drive...

Again, without a laptop I am finding running this phone is extremely difficult and frustrating.  ( especially with no external hard drive I could at least save important info until I get a new computer- although I have Dropbox etc..)   as previously stated this was a gift from my mother before my ninth spinal surgery, I've had two other iPhones before this one, both phones had so many issues even with a laptop at that point  – please pardon my blatant honesty, I really didn't want another iPhone...  I had my iPhone 4s for less than a year and the sound went out on me – it would ring (sometimes) and I could speak to people, but as far as any type of notification, music including the head phones, etc.  would not work,  that was just one of the problems that I encountered with that phone,  The phone I had before that encountered even worse problems, I don't go many places, the phone does not get dropped and I treat my things very well, as I am no child, turning 42 this month..eek! I am a responsible adult who keeps encountering bazaar and unfixable problems with every phone I have owned by Apple.

l am a single mother in constant pain, with absolutely no help, if and when I do get to relax, I enjoy using my phone to take my mind off of my days, but they always end up more troublesome than relaxing, as most of my time is trying to fix various issues...this phone has even more than just the cloud/music problems already.   I'm sure a few issues with this phone is due to lack of knowledge-but I have that "here we go again" feeling.

Thank and you for your time and assistance.
