Q: Windows 10 iTunes unresponsive

The issue is, iTunes becomes unresponsive when an iPod is plugged in, needed to be closed through task manager or unplug the iPod. Preferences tab cannot be used, even the keyboard short cut makes iTunes become unresponsive. Using Windows 10, this issue has been happening for about a week now, but I was able to complete some syncs before this issue began. Any one having the same issues and/or some remedy's that they have found? I am not sure if it is an apple issue or a Windows one.
