I have just had an Advanced Mac Cleaner window pop up on my MacBook Air saying that it is scanning my mac. Is this an Apple feature?
MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
Q: Advanced mac cleaner
1. This application got in my computer without my consent.
2. Windows keep popping up advising me that my computer needs help and will be cleaned by this program.
3. Sometimes I can't even close the windows and sometimes I even have to force quit the application.
4. I called the software company and they advised me that this application gets installed by other advertisement that offer this program and that somehow I must have downloaded such app.
5. I was recommended by apple malwarebytes anti-malware for mac software which is an app that scan and deletes all such applications such as Advanced mac cleaner.
6. I hope this app never comes up again in my computer and or yours either.
