Printing PDF, how to tell it what size paper to print on?

I'm printing a page of a pdf. The size of the document is A4, but there are crop marks etc which I also want to print. I've got a printer with A3 paper in it, but when I print the pdf prints as if it's on A4, therefore I dont get the crop marks. I can't see anything anywhere where I can tell it to print on A3, can anyone help?

Thanks!

I have a .pdf document with both 8.5 x 11 and 8.5 x 14 pages throughout the document. I have a Brother HL-5150DLT laser printer with two trays. One has 8.5 x 11 paper in it and the other has 8.5 x 14 paper in it. If I were printing from a Windows-based PC, the print options would let me choose to select the paper size per the .pdf document. On my Mac if gives me the choice of either legal or letter cut and dry. Is there a way around this? I need the printer to select the appropriate paper for the page size! Thanks in advance!

Hi Donna,

First:
It would be better if you would start your own topic if you have a question - it makes it easier for other users to find solutions to their own problems 🙂

Second:
Your problem seems to be the opposite of Kathy's - you have a PDF that you want to print, Kathy wanted to create a PDF?

To print a PDF just open it in Preview (that's the default), and select File->Print.
The dialog box that appears will have a drop-down box that defaults to "Copies & Pages". Change this drop-down to "Paper Feed" to select the tray you want to use.

HTH,
