I would like to backup my entire icloud photo library to my PC. I've got the photo stream working fine, but it doesn't go back very far. I have over 5000 photos and videos dating back to 2011 on my iphone/ icloud and I want them all downloaded to y PC. Please advise how I can do this as all the official apple documentation only tells you how to do it on a mac.

That doesn't really work as well as one would expect. First, you have to click every item you want to download, with over 5000 items this would be a PITA. Second, when you do click on multiple items to download they download with random file names and no extensions. All I want is for the photos to have the file name as the date they were taken, have a .jpg file extension and the be able to bulk download without having to click on each individual file.
What about using a USB cable.
Yea, that is a fall back. Problem with just copying them via USB is Apple saves the files with random file names in a random file structure. I really want them to download with the date taken as the file name, as they are displayed in apple devices.
I can't help but think apple have come up with a convoluted file structure to make it difficult to view/navigate the files on anything other than an apple device.
