How do you lower the security settings in Safari? Or can you?

I'm trying to log onto the cameras at my sons daycare and it won't load in Safari, but it will in Firefox. Is there a way to lower the security settings for Safari? That is what the day care is saying i need to do in order to view the cameras in Safari... Please let me know if anyone has some suggestions on how to make this work.

Thank you

Make sure Java is enabled in Safari > Preferences > Security.

If that doesn't help, it migth be a cookies, extensions, or plug-ins issue preventing the camera content to load.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

none of that seemed to work - here are the instructions that were given to me - I'm have given dummy websites below (FYI) I don't use internet explorer and everywhere that I have searched Safri doesn't give me the trusted site option - unless it's called something else that I'm not aware of.

Thank you for your help with this

In Internet Explorer. go to "Tools" at the very top of the internet screen
Choose "Internet options"
Click on the "Security" tab
Select "Trusted Sites"
Click on the "Sites" tab
Add the following sites to the list
http://1212121212.com
http://www.XXXXXX.com
Once the sites are added to the list, click on "Close"
Under "Security level for this zone", move the slider all the way down to "Low"
Click on "Apply"

There is not equivalent to IE's "trusted sites".

What, exactly happens when you try to view the site using Safari? What version of OS X are you running?

IE is a dinosaur. The trusted security settings in IE are a mess and are designed to deal with a whole host of potential security issues that exist because... IE.

Even Microsoft's new Edge Browser, the default in Windows 10, does not contain those settings.
