How do i uninstall and reinstall firefox?

Throw the application away, empty the Trash, download a new copy from the Firefox website, and drag it to the Applications folder.

I think the first question to ask is what you're trying to accomplish by uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox because a complete uninstall has consequences.

As the link lllaass posted points out, there's more to uninstalling Firefox than meets the eye. If you want to delete more than just the application in the Applications folder, you'll need to delete your profile too. You can find that by clicking on the Help menu in Firefox and selecting Troubleshooting Information. On the Profile Folder line, click Show in Finder and a Finder window will open showing your Profile folder. The important thing to remember is that your Profile folder contains all your bookmarks, history, extensions and their support files, passwords, preferences and essentially everything which makes Firefox yours rather than just a new program you installed. Delete it and you'll have to start all over. (Open that Profiles folder and look inside to see what I mean.) There are other locations too, such as /Users/yourusername/Library/Caches/Mozilla and /Users/yourusername/Library/Caches/Firefox, so a complete uninstall can get to be quite a job, which is why software is offered to do that for you.

As far as the Firefox program itself goes, when you download the version you want and open the .dmg file window, if you drag the icon of Firefox in that window onto the icon of the Applications folder (also in that window), you'll be asked if you want to replace the program that's in your real Applications folder or keep both. If you select replace, the program that you want to delete will be replaced by what you're installing and you should be good to go.
