Q: Can I gift a book I bought a while ago without being charged again?

so I bought the book, "Isle of the Lost" the prequel to the Disney Channel Original movie Descendants. I've finished reading the book, but now my sister wants to read it. We have different Apple IDs. So can I gift the book to her without having to pay again? I hope this makes sense! Thank you and God bless!

You cannot gift digital books you own. They are licensed to your Apple ID only. And cannot be transferred to a different Apple ID

If you want to give it to her as a gift, you need to buy it again, using the Gift option in the iBooks Store, so the license for the new purchase is assigned to her Apple ID.

Alternatively, if your Family uses Family Sharing, she would be able to use your books and other purchases directly.
