Q: cant change old user name in cloud on ipad mini

I changed my email address.

 

When I did this I went on to iTunes and changed my existing email address to the new email address. My iPhone 6 changed to the new email address when I did this and everything worked fine on it. On my iPad mini it tells me to log in but still uses my old username. I try to change that and it tells me I need to log in to cloud to change the email. I can't change the email because I can't log into cloud. I have tried to change password through my iPad mini.... I'm just getting really frustrated. I can't log in on my iPad mini because it still has my old user id email. How can I get this old user id email changed to the new user id email without logging into my iPad.

 

Any help is appreciated. I have looked on the forum and found someone who was dealing with the same issue I am in 2014 but no one had a solution to the problem.
