My itunes sees my device but keeps saying it belongs to another account

My hard drive crashed but we managed to recover our itunes libraries once it was replaced. Since then though, whenever we connect a device to sync, it requests the device to be erased and resynched as it thinks it has been connected to a different itunes account. However, when we look on itunes, these devices are listed as the ones connected to that account. I do not want to erase and restart if I can avoid it. What can I do?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1

The issue might not be that iTunes doesn't recognize your devices, but rather that the new drive/computer are not Authorized for that account.

Follow the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420

You need to log into iTunes on the computer you want to deauthorise. Otherwise, contact iTunes Store support to see if they can help.
