Q: MacBook Pro WiFi connectivity issue

Hello friends,

I have just purchased my first MacBook last Thursday.  I connected it to my home WiFi (WPA2 Personal network) and ran the updates (now Yosemite 10.10.4) etc.  Everything was great and I was loving my new device.  However, the third time I turned it on, the WiFi would not connect to my home network.  I tried to reconnect manually but it denied my password again and again.  I tried every solution, and finally I used the Keychain access method to successfully reconnect.  Now, however, the WiFi has stopped working and nothing is working.  Methods I've tried include:

- turning bluetooth on/off

- changing the location for network

- adding/deleting new services in the Network preferences

- deleting passwords under Keychain access

- deleting the plist files (Ive done this alot)

- using the terminal to load/reload certain processes

If anyone could help that would be great, I really want this Mac to work out.  Im so frustrated and honestly ready to go back to Win10, which is glitchy but seemingly better than Yosemite atm.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

You know that with your new Macbook you have 90 days of complimentary phone support from Apple right?

What is exact error message that appears on your screen?

Can you test your Macbook on a different Network? Do you have an iPhone? If yes, then try to enable Personal Hotspot on your iPhone and try to connect your Macbook to it? Do you get the same error message?

Once I type in the password and hit enter, the window takes ten seconds and then displays that the password is incorrect.  The password, however, is correct, I have used it before on this very Mac and it worked.

Yes, I've connected it to my phone's hotspot as well as a starbucks and library WiFi everything is golden.  No error messages.

I am located in Toronto, my ISP is Primus, it is not the network, of this I am sure.  No Apple Base stations.  My MacBook detects at least 10 networks at one time.

Thank you for even spending the time to try and help me

    What does Wireless Diagnostics show?

    Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite (2)

    Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite (3)

    Also try turning off Bluetooth.

WIFI AND BLUETOOTH FINALLY SOLVED, NO REALLY - YOSEMITE 10.10

If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.
