Q: Remove Playlist from iPhone when using Apple Music
This is what the online article says to do:
Remove songs, albums, and playlists
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
- In the Music app, find the name of the song, album, or playlist that you want to remove and tap the More Options icon
. - Tap Remove Download to remove the item for offline listening. The item will remain in your library on all your devices.
- Tap Remove from My Music to delete the item completely, from your library on all your devices.
I have seen very inconsistent behavior with Apple Music and what I have on my Mac (especially Playlist) vs. what it decided to put on my iPhone
I have manually succeeded in adding a Playlist created on my Mac to my iPhone (more / add to Device / name of iPhone)
I have also done this with some Playlist on the Mac but nothing makes them show up on the iPhone even though you just said add to device
I also have Playlist randomly it seems on the Device I did not say "make available for offline play" and they are taking up room on the device
So above should allow me to delete them - just from the iPhone right?
Not so lucky - - when I go to Playlist (with Show Offline content on this iPhone selected) and I hit More (...) i get a number of options, bu there is NO option to Remove Download
There is a Delete - which then warns you it deletes from Apple Music/ Cloud and everywhere all devices - and it certainly does that! Tested it, deleting from EVERYWHERE works just fine
Anyone figured out how to remove a Playlist stored locally on the iPhone since the instructions don't seem to work?!
Very buggy and very frustrating so far
iPhone 6, iOS 8.4, null
