Why do videos need to load in photos?

Hi guys,

User uploaded file

I recently wasnt able to play some videos from my camera roll as the video had to download/buffer. Why do these have to load? I mean...What's the point of having it on your iPhone if you can't have it when you need it?

Cant all my camera roll photos and videos just be stored 100% onto my iPhone so that its easy to view them when I need it?

please help.

Thanks!

Craig,

The answer to your first question above is that it cannot be done. If you want to see your photos across your devices they have to be stored in iCloud (or on a 3rd party service). If you don't want your photos stored on iCloud then they will not show up on your Mac of iPad automatically.

AirDrop is just a way to transfer photos from one device to another. If you have a lot of photos your best bet is to sync them through iTunes.

I personally prefer iCloud.. But as I said above, "I want my photos to show on my mac and iPad when i click a photo on my iPhone and vice-versa. But, I don't want my photos to be stored in the cloud. How can I make this happen?"

Because if I use AirDrop, won't that take a lot of my time and even if I sync the photos, won't i need to connect each device to my Mac?

No sorry, I was not clear. iTunes will let you create a backup of your iPhone which will contain the photos in your Camera Roll. That way if you loose or delete your photos from your phone, you will have a backup in case you want to restore all. In order to transfer your photos to your Mac or iPad (other than AirDrop), you need to import or copy the photos to your Mac first. I would import them using iPhoto or Image Capture. Once they are on your Mac you can then sync them to your iPad through iTunes.
