How do I stop unwanted ads on i phone safari?

Suddenly I can't use the internet on my i phone - as soon as I click on a site I am redirected to ads

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4

Try this:

Close Safari by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview to close it completely. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

If you are using another browser besides Safari go to its settings and delete the cookies and history.

Also settings- Safari check that pop ups are blocked.
