Q: FCPX 10.2.1 crashing with title generators

Hello, I'm running the following:

 

MacBook Pro 15" (Retina Mid-2014)

OS 10.10.4

2.5 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1

 

I recently purchased the Pixel Film Studios Sports Stage package and FCPX is crashing *almost* every time I try to use one of the generators or titles.

Pixel Film Studios blames it on my graphics card.. is this possible?

 

I had read about FCPX 10.1 having problems with crashes and that supposedly 10.2 fixed it... this for me is not the case.  Anyone else have this problem and/or a possible solution?  Thanks so much,

    The graphics card should be fine if it's working correctly.

    Try this test.

     

    If it passes (which it probably will), disable/uninstall your Pixel Film plug-in and see whether you still experience crashes,

    Hi Russ,

     

    Thanks for the tip - I've run the test and had no problems.. Also, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Pixel Film Studios plugins and it's crashing again.  Doesn't crash without - it is definitely being cause by the plugins (which I paid 99 bucks for).  BTW I also realized I actually have NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB graphics card as well..  Any other suggestions?

    OOnly to double check that your OS and applications are all updated and that you have the latest Pro Video Formats installed. Clear FCP X preferences (always a good idea after crashes). Otherwiise, I'd say the ball is back in the plug-in developer's court.
