I made the iMovie and it is complete. When I open idvd the iMovie I just made isn't there to burn it to a dvd. Why doesn't it show in the space at the right so I can select it?

I have idvd on my computer. When I open idvd the iMovie I created isn't there.
Don't use the iDVD Media Browser.
1. Instead, export the movie from iMovie to the desktop as a quicktime movie.
2. Then drag to movie from the desktop into the iDVD menu.
Maybe u can help me too. I can't export anything from iMovie unless I use share, I made a burn folder and sent the movie via file to the burn folder.
But can't see the burnt dvd when we try to play it. There is no export icon in iMovie and can't press saves that is absent also.
Apple can I re-install an old iMovie so my problems go away?
