Today my ipod touch 5th generation was working perfectly fine then later it wouldnt turn on and nothing would work. What should i do? should i buy a new one?

I bought my iPod Touch 5th Generation in November and till today it worked perfectly fine but then later on today I wanted to use it to send a message then I tried turning it on and wouldn't work. I went on 20 different pages and tried to figure out what was wrong. I tried all the methods on how to fix it and None of them worked. Although I don't care about my apps all I want are my contacts. So what should I do? Should I buy a new one?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

If not covered by warranty

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs. They do not fix yours.
