Q: Av adapter

i brought a lightning digital av adapter in June it worked fine, now its stopped working so I took it back and got another one and that one also wont work in my I pad mini but it works with my i phone.

is there something wrong with the I pad ? What can I do to get it working again?

This was an expensive product and don't want it to go to waste as was really good when was working.

iPad Mini, iOS 8.4

    Hey there teelisha,

It sound like your lightning bolt digital AV adapter works with your phone, but not your iPad. I would recommend these steps from the following article to help you:

If you need help with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch accessories

Disconnect and inspect the accessory, then restart your device

    1. Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible.
    2. Inspect the connection between the accessory and device and make sure that no debris or other damage is present.
    3. Restart your iOS device by turning it off, then back on. When the Home screen appears, reconnect the accessory.

Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Restore your iOS device. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.

The other steps in the article aren't going to be relevant to the situation here, so I left those out.
