Q: Can I share my imported CD with my family through iCloud music library and family sharing?

Hello!

I have gone through a lot of work importing my CD to iTunes. If I try Apple Music, will my spouse be able to listen to those imported CDs through family sharing? I have tried searching for an answer and if I understand correctly she will only be able to access music purchased through iTunes.

Reason I don't just go ahead and try is that I have iTunes Match today and it seems there are some issues combining the two services.

HI,

Only music purchased from iTunes Store can be shared. Therefore any other music imported from CDs whether matched or uploaded cannot be shared using family sharing. This applies to both Match and Apple music.

I think it is a bit unclear in this article if you can share music that you have imported from your CDs and that have a match in the iTunes store:

Songs added to iTunes Match from outside the iTunes Store.

Is an imported CD that has a match in the iTunes store to be regarded as "added to iTunes Match from outside the Itunes Store"?
