Airport Utility for Windows vs. Mac / Time Zones

I am running OS X 10.11 beta, with Airport Utility 6.3.6 (636.5).

I find that the windows version of Airport Utility is much more robust / has many more options compared to the Mac OS ver 6.3.6. Specifically around time zone configuration for example.

Three questions:

1) Is there an Airport Utility for Mac OS that has all the options as the Windows version? or is there a setting to enable advanced options?

2) How can I set time zones on my Airport Extreme Time Capsules (I have two) and Airport Express (I have one) time zones using Mac OS X, Airport Utility 6.3.6?

3) I want to set my Airport Extreme Time Capsules (I have two) and Airport Express (I have one) time zones to AST / UTC+3:00 (as we don't use daylight savings here).

How can I do that? Is that possible? The time zone option only show on the Windows version, ands the pull down list is limited / not complete.

What I am trying to achieve is set the three devices to AST / UTC+3:00, and enable Timed Access Controls so it is all configured locally (Doha, Qatar).

Thanks

No, apple removed all the useful stuff. There is no advanced settings..

Of course you can load 5.6.1 into the latest OS with a bit of manipulation. Just google it.. but I don't know if it will work in 10.11 beta.

You cannot do it.. apple automatically detect it when you go online.

You simply cannot do it.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I downloaded ver 5.6.1 and it a) works, and b) has most, if not all of the functions as the windows version.

It's a shame I cannot manually set the time, or manually set the right time zone (based on the known world time zones) - very disappointing programming from Apple developers.

It would be ok if I could set me location and have it pick up the time and time zone automatically, or let me manually set the correct time and correct time zone and not auto set ... but this seems like the worst features of both scenarios.

Oh well.

SOLUTION UPDATE - I called Apple and they told me that because I originally purchased my device in the US, but now temporarily live in the Middle East - the list of timezones differ by devices regionally. The fix they suggested was to set to a different timezone, and change my timed access control setting to be offset equally. It's a simple work around given the inherent limitation. They said if I bought a device here and took it back to the US, I would have the similar problem there.

When I moved to the Middle East, my devices were set to America/New York (GMT-5) and the time server was time.apple.com.

BUT .......

When using ver 5.6.1 of the airport utility ... I am not sure when / how it happened ... but after I changed my time server to time.asia.apple.com ... suddenly / shortly afterwards in the pull down list of timezones ... at the very top there was a more button / arrow ... and my country showed up (Asia/Qatar). I selected it and saved / updated.

Now in my pull down list of time zones are all the missing ones for my region ... Bahrain, Kuwait, Riyadh, etc. These were not there before.

It's not clear why the suddenly showed up ... the change of time server? the old Airport 5.6.1 utility? but it is now working as needed.

Ok.. it is a mystery to me why it has to be removed from the utility.. it is Apple over control of things.. but it is becoming unacceptable.

Selection of time zones, time servers and clock settings in routers is usually dead simple.. it can be hidden under an advanced button.. but why make it impossible to move equipment.. makes me think twice to buy airports again.
