Aug 11, 2015 9:53 PM in response to alexisfromakronby LarryHN,Open your eyes and look around - find my Mac (or IOS device) only works on Macs and IOS devices
Or ,of course, log into iCloud.com and use Find My Mac from there

You should see the device listed there. Click on it to see if it is online or offline, click on the map to see the last known location (if it was less than 24 hours ago that the device was last online.
Best of luck,

AFAIK you can't access icloud.com on a mobile device - certainly I can't on my Android tablet (5.1.1).

Aug 12, 2015 2:38 AM in response to bobseufertby Roger Wilmut1,It does - surprisingly I got as far as the login screen. I don't have time to take it any further just now, but I suspect that it will still fall over when you try to do anything. I'll give it a try later.

Aug 12, 2015 3:29 AM in response to bobseufertby Roger Wilmut1,Rather surprisingly I was able to log in (2-step verification worked) and check Mail. I can't check 'Find My iPhone' as I don't have this set up. The site doesn't work well - for one thing it won't scroll so anything which is off the screen stays off it (rotating to portrait helped, but some things are still not accessible).
So the OP might be able to do this, though it's not officially supported and may or may not work as expected.

Aug 12, 2015 5:43 AM in response to Roger Wilmut1by Johnathan Burger,I could access the site by requesting desktop version.
I could not scroll or move the screen on the main menu site.
Placing my tablet in landscape orientation, I could select find my iPhone.
It worked, I could see the map and the location of my phone on my Sony Z3 compact tablet running Android 5.0.
