Any file that starts with a period is "invisible" and some show in your screenshot.
Sorry if the question was unclear. What I want to achieve is to be able to search for hidden/system files. I've already enabled them being visible in finder, but searching for them doesn't work.
There is a very good reason why Apple decided to hide some files from end users. They got very tired of spending for support people and fixing machines mucked up by people removing some files.
Use the Finder to view them. Just don't move or trash them.
I'm a developer, so hidden files are often relevant. Apple provided an instruction on how to search for hidden files using finder, but this instruction doesn't seem to work. This thread originates from that. Since finder doesn't work, I'll search using the terminal instead, through
