Q: MacbookPro Fails To Launch

Hi Guys,

I am so much done with mac's now. After just a week after my Macbook Air got down, this time its my big Macbook Pro15' and I am now back to my always dependable windows PC.

Please any of you ever have come across with the following issue of mac, please do let me know how to resolve.

After powerup button pressed, it ask the password.

Successful password entry goes to the progress bar. after 40% of progress, generally it goes grey screen and comes back in say 5 sec duration but now it is staying in that grey screen, till the watchdog timer sets up and causes the reboot of the system.

About system:- Its 15" Pro with 10.10.3 Yosemite.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), Blackout

It would be helpful if you indicated the EXACT year of your MBP.

Boot into the recovery partition of your MBP.

From the 4 option menu select Disk Utility.

Run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair.

If the disk cannot be repaired, it will have to be replaced.

Thanks a lot for the responses.

    It is 2011 late model. Could you please let me know what does this mean ?

    SUID file: file permission changed and will not be repaired.

     Is it common or its gonna have to do with the failure of the system ?
