Have you restarted your Mac lately? If not, do so > test

Since this is new, what event may have occurred since your last joy? Add software or hardware? Update/upgrade software (including OS X)? anything at all?

    Many thanks for prompt reply.

Yes, restarted many times. I have last updated few iTunes updates version 12.2.1 on 17th Jul'15.

And I had last call on face time on 18th Jul'15. There after only software i have loved is Viber for mac (https://www.viber.com/en/products/mac).

    Kindly sugest.

    Thanks & Rgds.

Sounds like "Viber" may have taken control of your camera (?)

    • In FaceTime, choose a camera or microphone from the Video menu at the top of your computer screen.

NOTE: Always be sure and download "reputable" software.

You can always rest assured that the Mac App Store has vetted the product and the integrity of the download package

         https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/viber/id382617920?mt=8

You are usually safe in downloading from a developer's website, but not always - the safest developer downloads actually download their install FROM Apple's server.

    In general, on any webpage

    AVOID
    Picture 2.png

    in Favor of

    Picture 3.png

It makes no sense to me why Viber would have BOTH. One would hope the only difference would be that developer has to pay Apple a percentage (like a 'consignment store')

    1. Restart your computer
    2. Open System Information to see if your camera appears in the USB section.
    3. Make sure that no other apps (like iChat, Messages, or other video editing or chat applications ->> VIBER <<- ) are currently using the same camera. Try quitting any other apps that could be communicating with the camera.
    4. Make sure that ONLY Facetime is NOW running
    5. In FaceTime, choose a camera or microphone from the Video menu at the top of your computer screen.

The list you provided appears to come from the "USB Bus" section of System Information.

Look for your camera in the "USB Device Tree"  (NOT in the "USB Bus") window pane.

Your specific info will be different from that in the example below, but it shows where to look:

    reveal.gif

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, look for the camera in the USB Device Tree location.)

If your camera is not in the USB Device Tree your Mac likely needs service

by Apple or an Authorized Service Provider.

I guess. This issue may be hardware problem.

I have tried all options you have suggested.

I'll take my machine to Apple authorized service center.

    Many thanks.

I also have not used my camera for several weeks.  I just tried the camera in several applications, made system and app updates, and restarted.  I don't see the camera listed in the USB tree either.  I have a 2013 MacBook AIr.
