Q: Pair existing apple watch to new iphone.

I had to replace my iPhone. Now it is not paired to my apple watch and wants me to reset the watch. I would rather not lose all the ways that I have customized the watch. Is there really no way to pair the two devices without erasing and reset the watch?

You can't pair without wiping the aWatch.

Make sure to use your most recent iPhone backup. If it is on iTunes you MUST have Encrypt Backup to get all your Health/Activity data (Apple should warn about this). If iCloud you are good to go but only to the exact time of the backup.

With your current iPhone backup on your new iPhone after paring you will get all Apple Watch Apps and data to where it was at the time of the backup. You will lose a couple of things like running/walking calibration.
