My mom wants to borrow my iPad

My mom wants to borrow my iPad while she is away on her holidays.

What is the best/easiest way to remove all my data from it like photos, facebook app, messages and everything else like that which is synced with my iPhone and then to be restored back?

Thanks

iPad Air, iOS 8.4

You and Demo, please correct me if I am wrong. I think the problem he will have (besides having to sleep in the dog house tonight) is that his iPad appears to sync with his iPhone through iCloud, at least that is the way I interpreted his message. If he only had an iPad he could back it up to his computer, wipe it clean through a reset, wipe it clean again after his mother gets back, and then restore from iTunes. However since his iPad is syncing with his iPhone he would be wiping his phone also, at least the items he syncs to the cloud. Is this not right? He could give it to his mom as is but no telling what he would get back. I suppose he could turn iCloud backup off while she is gone. I say buy her a mini.... The doghouse may be a better option... šŸ˜‰

Edit: I was composing this message while Phil was posting above but somewhat similar thoughts....

I would have to agree with Demo, in that it may be overkill, but if you really want to do this, you will have to restore your iPad to Factory condition to remove everything.

If you make a backup of the iPad, either to iTunes or iCloud, you can then use that backup to restore the iPad to how it was before, after your mother is done with it.

Basically, you are looking at doing the following in this order:

1. How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support

then

2. What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

And finally, once you get it back:

3. Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

No, if he removes the iPad from his account, erases it and put's mom's account on it nothing in the iCloud account will be affected. Then he reverses the procedure to put it back on his account when he gets it back. A full backup via iTunes is mandated here.
