Q: Apple Bluetooth keyboard A1016 will not connect

i have the original white plastic apple wireless keyboard and for some reason it will not connect anymore. it worked fine yesterday but now when in system preferences on bluetooth it recognises it but will not connect

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

I had that model KB and it was nothing but problems and I just pitched it.

The keyboard is working fine now, but every time I am not using the computer I power the keyboard off. Do you think if I left it on it would pair itself every time I power on the computer?

Try it and find out. Your symptom is what cause me to pitch that model BT KB
