Can't down load apps without credit card

If you have already created your Apple ID without using the directions here, Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Suppor… then you have to enter a credit card or other payment method. Apple uses this to help identify you and your address information. You need to either enter a credit card, or an iTunes Gift Card so there is some type of payment method.

You can set up a "None" option for your payment method if you create your Apple ID after you go to the iTunes app and download a Free App. If you attempt to download a free app without being signed into the iTunes & App Store, you will be prompted to set up a new Apple ID at that point. If you do it that way, you will be given the option of setting your Payment Option to = None.

If you already set up your Apple ID, you will have to put a credit card into the Payment Method. Once you have done that, if the None option appears when you go back to your account to edit your Payment info, then you can change it to none.
