Setting up a WiFi Connection while out of range

Hey guys

I was wondering if you could help me. I need to set up an IPad Air 2 to connect to a WiFi network which I am not in range off. I have tried to input the SSID and Password into the 'Others' section, but without it being in range to detect the network it fails to save.Is this possible via Apples base software or is there a 3rd party application that fills this requirement.

Many Thanks

That way you could get out of the heat or cold depending on your situation. & away from the boss.

Just to set a few things, you could look at the iPhone configuration utility. ( I got an update for it today. Thought it was discontinued. ) It works with iPads too.

Good info. I like to read nsdjoey comments.

Consider DEP, Device Enrollment Program. Use VPP, Volume Purchase Program. Select an MDM, Mobile Device Management. Read the Google doc below and nsdjoey write up.

That is a great idea, I have been researching MDM's today but I was unsure how much control I would have over the profiles. I would need to get an MDM which would incorporate a Mobile App Manager as well to cover the overhead. Do you know if Apple Profile Manager would be able to save a profile with a WiFi network which is not connected?

Thanks for your help guys.
