Q: iPhone 2 activation

I have an iPhone 2 and i am trying to activate it through my Sim card (Carrier: Alfa Lebanon). The Sim is red normally but when i connect my iPhone to Itunes, i get a message that carrier is not supported.

Any help?

Thanks a lot for your help, but i am still having the same issue with No Sim.
Is there any way that i can activate the iPhone without a SIM?

No. A SIM is required. The phone is carrier locked. Most likely to AT&T in the US. Only the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.

Hello KiltedTim,

I have already used this iPhone with the same SIM. but i have upgraded to iPhone 6 and now i want to activate it to check if it is still working.
So it is not locked...

Sounds to me like it was originally hacked to unlock it, which has now been un-done either by a restore or update.

As KiltedTim stated above, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked
can unlock it. You will have to contact the locking carrier to see if they offer
unlocking and if you qualify.
