Magic Mouse Frequently Disconnects

I have the problem that my magic mouse frequently disconnects from my MacBook Pro, typically every 10 minutes or so, which in the long run is starting to be annoying. I have bought a new magic mouse, and the problem persists, so it is not the mouse. After lengthy experimentation, I found that the problem seems to be related to my Xbox 360 Elite: Whenever the wireless controllers are in use, the magic mouse does not seem to be able to communicate with the MacBook. Since both controllers have the equal effect, I am fairly certain that it is not a faulty controller, but rather that the mouse and the controller probably share the same channel. Does anyone know how to change the channel on which the magic mouse is operating...?

My experience is that it's bluetooth not the magic mouse.

Have same issue with Apple BT keyboard on MBP and MacMini.

I had same issue with MagicMouse and stopped using it. Switched to Logitech Performance MX which are really nice and reliable.

Still have issue with BT on keyboard, so think I'm going to go back and invest in new Logitech keyboard. The Apple keyboards will go in the "Trash IT stuff" box that I have - actually I need to buy a bigger box and re-label "Trash Apple stuff". :-)

Power off your Xbox 360 when using your Magic Mouse with your Mac. Bluetooth devices are sensitive to other competing signals on the 2.4 Ghz frequency, and in the case of the Xbox, a cordless phone, or even a microwave — stronger signals can disrupt reliable use of the magic mouse. I have one sitting here next to me, and the only time it will disconnect is if the batteries are exhausted.
