Q: Several of my apps can't access my photos, no option to turn restrictions off.

I've had this **** problem for over a year now. My facebook, instagram and other apps can't access my photostream, and when I go the privacy settings, there's no option to turn that restriction off. Nowhere. Do I need to wipe and reset my phone or something? This is extremely aggravating.

I have an iphone 4 I believe.

Do these apps give you any messages regarding the photos? Any clues at all from the Apps? Don't know if this article will help you but it is worth a try:

Get help using My Photo Stream - Apple Support

You can reset All Settings but would have to add them back, aggravating as well but perhaps worth a shot...

They both basically say the same thing.

    Here's what facebook says:

    "Please allow photo access"

    1. Tap Privacy

    2. Switch photos on

I go to the privacy settings, both general and facebook specific, and there's no option to turn it on or off.

Instagram used to at least let me take photos, but not access photos from my library. But now, for some asinine reason, it needs library access to even take a photo from the camera. And I inevitably can't give it access, and I have no **** clue why.

After backing the phone up, I tried erasing and resetting all data, but it needs a restriction passcode. I have no idea what the **** that is.
