my ipad got hacked by someone posing as microsoft. Now the screen is frozen

Try holding down on both the Home AND Power button for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Then let go of both buttons.

You may need to hold both buttons down for as long as 30 seconds. Just hold them both down until the Apple logo appears. If you have held them down for 30 seconds or longer and the reset does not initiate, then you may have to put the device in Recovery mode:
Also, can you provide more information about what you mean by your post? How are you thinking it was "hacked"? What would someone "posing as Microsoft" have to do with an Apple device?
