Q: Cannot connect to HP PSC 215 from Mac OS X v10.10.5

I am having trouble with my HP PSC 2175. It has worked for a long time. I am on Mac OS X 10.10.

Initially printer could print but supply levels and the printer utility do not work. Both say the printer isn't connected - it is, via USB.

I reset the printer system, and now there's no printer and it cannot be found.
