itunes ignoring track numbers!

I bought a few cds that were partial albums, and then I bought the songs that were left off of the partial album. I am trying to add those songs onto the albums by naming their album title the same and then putting their track numbers as they should be if they were on the cd. Anyways, itunes completely ignores what I am putting for the track numbers of the songs I am adding, and just puts them on the beginning of the album. Anyone know how to make this work? If you need more information about what Im talking about them let me know.

I have a picture of my problem:

Notice how it is the same band, the same cd, yet they wont go in order of their track numbers.

Ill explain again. I bought the cd on itunes. It was missing the song "not now" because its an extra track on the normal cd, so I bought it separately. I also bought "stockholm syndrome" separately because it wasnt on the explicit content cd, but on the clean cd. Im trying to add them onto the cd in the place they are on the real cd if you bought it in the stores, but itunes is ignoring the track numbers.

hey there man, not sure if I understand your question properly.. and forgive me if i have.. but if you go into the 'edit' found at the top of the itunes page, and then go into 'preferences' and 'advanced'... and there is a option there where you can select itunes to 'Keep iTunes Music folder organized'... maybe this will solve your problem... ?

The track numbers are all fine, the album and artist are exactly the same for all of them.

If you dont understand my problem, just check this image:

the tracks arent going in the right order. IDK why it wont work. I bought the album on itunes, then bought the song "not now" cause itunes didnt include it on the album, and bought "stockholm syndrome" cause itunes didnt include it on the album. Both songs are on the normal cd. I tried to put those two songs onto the album in the order they would be if I bought the cd and ripped it, but itunes wont place them in that order.

I had a similar problem just the other day. Turns out it was the "Disc [ ] of [ ]" setting that was tripping me up. Some of my tracks were disc 1 of 1, and others were blank. If this is the same as your problem, you can fix it like this: select all the tracks and Right-Click => Get Info. Tell it yes, you do indeed wish to edit information for multiple tracks at once (only information in the checked boxes will be changed, unchecked boxes won't be changed for any of the tracks). Then set the "Disc [ ] of [ ]" either to blank or to 1 of 1, either way this should cause iTunes to read it as one album and order it by track number.
