Q: AMT Radeon R9 graphics processor corrupt

I am having a problem on my iMac 27 inch late 2014 when using Photoshop. I get extreme banding and the file is corrupted beyond use. Contacted Adobe and they advised of problem with graphics card and recommended turning off the option in PS to use the graphics processor. This seems to prevent banding problem but there are advantages to using graphics processor so want to resolve problem with the card. Kind Regards, Peter

    Hello allumpfa,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are concerned that there may be a graphics card problem on your iMac. I see that you came to the forum from the Using Apple Diagnostics article, did you run Apple Diagnostics and if so what were the results?

If you do not feel like the graphics card is performing correctly, it may be necessary to have your iMac evaluated at either an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. For more information on these processes, please review the link attached below.
