Q: How can I change which device an airport express connects to?

I have 2 airport extremes and an airport express Which I have setup at home, with one of the expresses connected to the router via ethernet and the other extreme extending that network. I want an express to connect to the second extreme but Airport Utility is showing me that the express is connecting directly to the first one instead of the second meaning the express is only able to relay the speed it can get from the first one, which has allot of walls in the way and is much slower than the speed it can get from the second.

Is there any way to manually tell the express which extreme to get its connection from?

Thanks in advance, Chris

With the Express connected to the first Extreme by Ethernet they should be configured for a roaming network. That is, this Express should be configured with Network Mode set to "Create a wireless network," and not, "Extend a wireless network." Is this how you have it set up? Then the second Extreme would configured to "Extend a wireless network." That network being the roaming network provided by the other two base stations.
