iTunes 12.2.2 - column icloud-download symbol cannot be deactivated

What the **** is going wrong with iTunes 12.2.2 now!

Beside the bug that iTunes is creating duplicates of playlists if I change anything in a playlist and sync them afterwards with iPhone/iPad is not removed (very annoying!) now additionally the column icloud-download symbol cannot be deactivated in the tracklists.

I have set "only offline-music" but in every playlist with the view "tracklist" I get this fu... column showed. After deactivating this column and a restart I get the column icloud-download again.

I am really upset!!!

crazy annoying. i have a number of playlists... took the time to remove the column from all of them... and, they're back! started doing it again, then realized... wait, i did this already. i turned off "show apple music" in my prefs, but that made no difference. this "only music available offline" i don't see in view. odd. but, just more UX fail from apple.

thanks for continually wasting my time, apple engineer! multiply what i did times the thousands or millions of users that did the same, and just imagine how much global productivity you pulled from the world economy just with your one fail.

not to argue the point, but in short yes - it did fix MY problem, and apparently others too. No more iCloud Download column or icon on any of my many thousands of music playlists. Make sure you follow the directions I put in that thread, if you miss one single media type (whether you have movies or tv shows or not), the column will still show up on all your playlists.

the recommendation in the thread fixed the problem for me, too. it's not very clear, so i'll try to simply state what i did here.

1. while in the "my music" view of your library, and with view > music selected, choose "only music available offline"

2. switch to view > movies, and after select "only music available offline"

3. switch to view > tv shows, and select the same again.

dear apple UX designer - super fail. this has got to be one of the most ludicrous loopholes i've had to jump through to change what should be a simple behavior that was easy to set before. having the behavior forced upon me with an update, and then having to have this utterly esoteric solution to be found (made possible only trough the fact there are millions of users out there trying to figure it out - thanks world!). really bonkers.
