% battery is not accurate on an iPod. Also, really dropping 1% is one hour is not unexpected since with the iPod sleep (not slide to power of) the iPod is still doing things.

If not satisfied take it back for a refund. If you purchased it from Apple you have 14 days to take it back for a full refund.

Note that other users have reports unexpected short battery life for the 6G so Apple may either have a design problem with the 6G or that there is a problem with the iOS 8 version for the iPod.

I have experienced similar problems. I downloaded Ibackupbot on my computer to figure out my battery scores. Turns out my battery is just fine. Look up Ibackupbot if you want to see if your battery is fine. Once you have downloaded it all you have to do is connect your iPod, and then go into More Information and then you will see that battery stats. You can also make a geinus bar appointment for them to test your battery health. I've also found out the battery is very inaccurate but even so mine lasted 5-6 hours on heavy gaming and 6-7 on web browsing. Oh and if you were wondering Ibackupbot will not harm your computer
