Bootcamp missing after Yosemite install.

Question

Hi,I upgraded Yosemite on my iMac where I had Bootcamp (Windows XP) as well. Now, I can see Bootcamp in System Preference &#x27;Start up disk&#x27; menu but not in start up (holding option key). When I select and restart Bootcamp from system preference start up menu I get black screen cursor blinking. Based on our previous discussion on Bootcamp - &#x27;No Bootable Device - Insert Boot Disk And Press Any Key&#x27; , if you switch to Yosemite, you will rediscover all the issues that a custom hybrid MBR causes. For example, you now have a gap which where Recovery HD should be. My suggestion is to keep a stable OS X/Windows combination, otherwise you will repeat these steps ad nauseam ad infinitum.

Thank you for your prompt reply.  I have now decided to keep OS X Maverick and Windows XP as my previous use. Please suggest me how to gain this. Above info were based on OS X Maverick and Bootcamp Windows XP.

You will need to rebuild the GPT based on previous instructions again.
