Q: iOS 7: Deactivate forwarding iMessages to mac

Hello,

I am running the latest iOS 7.1.2 on iPhone 4.

I would like to deactivate forwarding them to my macbook pro but still be able to send SMS and iMessages.

How can I do that? Is this even possible?

Thanks for any serious suggestion.

Hello michaelsopa,

It sounds like you don't messages you get on your phone to also be sent to your Mac, but you still want to use your Mac to send SMS and iMessages. In the following article there is no mention of being able to disable that feature. Once you have your phone number linked to your Apple ID and you have that setup on your Mac, it's all or nothing:
