Q: Frequent Crashes/Kernel Panics: Any help for what is causing this?

My wife has a MacBook Air, 13-inch, mid-2012 model. It has 1.8ghz i5 processor and 4gb of RAM, Intel integrated graphics.

She has been having random total freezes followed by a crash/reset, with the gray kernel panic message screen in multiple languages.  There is no continuity in software open when it happens, the most consistent thing she has open when it crashes are Safari windows with a couple of windows/tabs at a time.
