Q: Having trouble with Apple music

Hi,

im having trouble creating an apple music account. I have iOS 8.4 on my iPad mini 2 and all the other requirements but for some reason I can't get an apple music account. I went to the app and clicked at the top where u sign up for an account. I selected the $9.99 option however Apple music is telling me i have insufficient credit in my iTunes account. I already know I don't have $9.99 in my account however Apple music is offering a 3 month FREE TRIAL. If this trial is free why do u have to pay for it? Also, is it required that u have $9.99 or more in ur iTunes account or is this some weird glitch?

thanks!

    Hi Moon goddess777,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

From your question, it sounds like you may be selecting store credit to use as your form of payment for Apple Music. If this is the case, you would need to have enough store credit for your first renewal to continue setting up with that form of payment.

Join Apple Music - Apple Support

You might be asked to validate your billing info. After you add a payment method, click Join. You can use store credit to pay for your Apple Music membership, but you must have enough store credit for your first renewal.

    Best regards
