Q: iTunes not opening
I seem to be having a problem with launching the iTunes application. Symptoms are that it will not open until restart; when it did open, it had trouble reading the library index causing crash (not responding) immediately after launch. So I updated my iTunes to find that the library did not load, and all of my playlists were gone. Now the problem has returned. What can I do to fix this?
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and when prompted create a new library. If this works then it is likely your old library file is corrupt and will have to be replaced or rebuilt.
