Error (-7034) when I try to log in with iMessage

I've been using iMessage for years now.. Never a glitch.


last week i noticed that my text conversations in iMessage were not in sync with my phone and iPad.


I went to the preferences and noticed that account was inactive. typed in my apple id password and got a spinning cursor for about a minute and was still inactive.


Things I've tried so far...

Repair permissions

delete iMessage prefs files

change apple ID password

install El Capitan


So now I'm running El Capitan and iMessage still doesn't work, but at least now it gives me an error code:


Could not sign into iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try again.

An error occurred (-7034)
